A home needs a community.
Someone has to clear the icy walk before an older neighbour can get out. Someone knows how to fix the loose step, but needs a fair way to find work. And the person who lives there needs to know who is coming to the door. That is the kind of connection we want Handyman HQ to make.
Why we are building it
A small job can sit on a list for months. Finding help means making calls, comparing prices and wondering whether the person who arrives is right for the work. We want to put small repairs, cleaning, seasonal care and driveway car care in one place, with the scope and price clear before anyone says yes.
Trust has to be earned in the details. Before a real job is offered, we plan to check each pro for the work they take on, confirm the coverage and legal requirements that apply, and show customers who is coming. Those checks are not live yet. We will not call someone verified just because they signed up.
Start close to home
We plan to start in Calgary. Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, Strathmore, High River and Canmore have preview pages, not crews waiting for bookings. Each place needs qualified local people and real capacity before we can say we serve it.
Care should reach further
Handyman HQ is being built by Formativelabz Inc, founded by Vijay Nair. Once paid work begins, the company pledges CA$5 from each paid service job toward children's cancer care at Alberta Children's Hospital. The recipient, transfer route and schedule still need review. No job-related donation has been made through this preview, and we do not claim a hospital partnership.
