PRIVACY POLICY · PRELAUNCH DRAFT

Your home details deserve care.

Formativelabz Inc is the operating company. Handyman HQ is its planned service and trade name. This development website does not offer registration, booking, payments, report upload or a contact form. Browsing may still generate ordinary server, security or hosting logs after deployment. The actual host and any analytics must be audited before this draft becomes a policy.

What a future service may need

With appropriate notice and consent, a live service may use contact details, service address, task description, access instructions, scheduling, approved price and payments, provider assignment, visit timestamps and reports or photos. Do not submit door codes, payment details or photos here today. Collect only what is needed for the stated service and keep access limited by role.

Why and who may handle it

The planned purposes are to arrange and document visits, respond to issues, meet payment and legal duties and secure the service. A qualified provider should see only details needed for an assigned visit. Payment, cloud-hosting, email, text and map vendors may process information under reviewed contracts. Provider identity, service locations and any processing outside Canada must be named before collection. Canadian server location alone does not prove all processing stays in Canada.

Choice, access and retention

Before launch, Formativelabz Inc must name a privacy officer and working contact method so people can ask what information it holds, request access or correction, withdraw consent where applicable and ask about deletion. Some legal recordkeeping may still apply. Retention periods, photo consent, access logs and secure deletion rules are not set, so no customer data should be collected yet.

Protection and incidents

The planned safeguards include encrypted private records, limited provider access, signed photo links, metadata stripping, monitoring, backups and incident response. These are build requirements, not a claim that the deployed service has passed a security audit. Alberta PIPA has breach-notification duties when the legal threshold is met; an incident process must be tested before launch.

Which privacy law applies

Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) generally governs provincially regulated private-sector activity in Alberta. Federal PIPEDA may also apply to cross-border commercial information or federally regulated activity. The applicable rules depend on real operations and should be checked by Canadian privacy counsel, not assumed from this page.
